Sydney and Matt are getting married next June in Portsmouth, and fittingly wanted to do their engagement photos on the coast.

Hearing that they wanted photos on the coast, Salisbury Beach State Reservation in Massachusetts was the first thing that came to mind.

After guiding them through some initial poses to gauge their comfort in front of the camera, they quickly were able to show off how beautiful their love for each other is in an effortless, meaningful way.

March in the northeast is always a big question mark, one day its 20° and snowing, the next it's 70° and sunny. This evening was a happy medium with a pastel sunset.

Sydney and Matt wanted to bring their rescue dog, Parlay, to the shoot as well (because let's be real, that's their son). Dogs are such a great way to bring additional effortless joy to a shoot, plus, I LOVE DOGS. He was a very good boy and was patient waiting until the end for his turn to have his photo taken. When it was his turn to shine, he didn't hold back...
